Since it’s establishment in 496 A.C., the fourteenth of February has been widely regarded as Valentine’s Day has been celebrated for a multitude of reasons circling around the celebration of loved ones. It originated from the Saint Valentine who was known for performing wedding ceremonies illegally along with ministering Christians who were persecuted for their religion at that time. One way to show your love for this holiday is to cook any of these delicious desserts that gives St. Valentine justice.

Along with the establishment of Valentine’s Day, cookies were invented in the early years of 700 A.C. From there, the hunger for this dessert spread over the continents and ravaged the people. Now, cookies have become an easier treat to come across and have been easy enough for anyone to bake themselves.

On the other hand, truffles were created on accident in the late 1800s by family prodigy, Antoine Dufour. Since then, truffles have become widespread and an imperative object for Valentine’s Day. What better way to treat yourself and others than a delectable circle or square filled with chocolate.
