The season has started hard and still has more to come. The Lady Knights are currently at 13-9.
“The season is going well. We started off strong, went through a tough patch as any team does, but we’re working really hard and preparing for our last few games in the regular season, and regionals,” senior Emma Bradford said.
The players usually spend their time running different drills that help with what they need to work on. They work on some shooting drills, run through offenses and then scrimmage.
Lady Knights have goals to accomplish and they are looking forward to reaching them.
The Lady Knights had their biggest game of the season against Burlington Central.
“Burlington Central was a tough win. It put up in a great position for the end of the year,” senior Ally O’Herron said.
The Lady Knights won, 56-53, with their heads held high.
According to senior Sarah Grams, one of the hardest game of the season was against DeKalb, where the Knights were hit hard. The first time they played DeKalb, they lost, 17-31, and then the second they lost, 22-38.
O’Herron said DeKalb was a really tough team, but the Knights did a good job playing them toughly for the first three quarters of the games.
The Knights continued with their season against Morris, Sycamore and Antioch.
“Morris game went well, both Sycamore games were good and exciting games both in overtime,” O’Herron said.
Throughout the girls varsity season, they hit highs and lows, but still managed to keep playing the game.
