Practice with a purpose. That’s how junior golfer Adam Grams describes this year’s season. “We are doing the little things that make a difference,” Grams said. “We have a good chance to win because we have the best team we have had in years. We have a lot of young talent.”
Grams said that if the Knights can fix their weaknesses, they have a great chance to succeed. Currently, they are focusing on their weaknesses during practice so they won’t make the same mistakes in matches.
“I need to work on playing better under pressure and knowing how to come back if my round starts out bad,” senior golfer and team captain Hayley Guyton said.
Guyton, one of the best golfers in the area, said she is working hard to make all conference, then advance to state. Her goal is to place in the top ten in the state, by having an average of 75 or better for 18 holes. Grams said if the Knights can fulfill their goals, they have a very good chance of advancing to state.
“My goals for this season are to have a winning season, win the conference and advance to sectionals,” Grams said.
