The annual male beauty pageant, “Mr. Kaneland,” will take place on Friday, February 17 at 7 p.m. in the KHS auditorium. Proceeds from this show will go to the Kaneland Cares Fund, which benefits the Kaneland community.

To purchase tickets for the show, you can buy a wristband for $5 from any Mr. Kaneland contestant carrying a bucket. Tickets can also be purchased the night of the show, if seats are still available.

The theme this year is “James Bond,” so spectators should expect a night of 007 class and intrigue.

Mr. Kaneland contestant Harrison Saylors will be performing a song by Troye Sivan while his girlfriend accompanies him on the piano. This is his second time participating,

First time participant Cullen Heuman will be performing with Joey Fahnestock in a so-called “beat-boxing showcase.”

“I am participating because a bunch of my friends are doing it and it’s a cool experience,” Heuman said.
