Finding an above average breakfast restaurant is not always easy. The new restaurant in Elburn called Briana’s Pancake Cafe is not only convenient, but delicious as well. Located right off of Route 38 in Elburn, this restaurant definitely fills the breakfast cravings.

This restaurant serves every type of meal but is primarily a breakfast place.

Owner Josefina Gutierrez is new to the small business life, and so far she and her employees say the restaurant is running smoothly. Daughter and employee Angelica Caballero has been working at the restaurant since the opening and believes it will stay successful.

“So far I believe the restaurant is steady. I do hope it stays successful” Caballero said.

Surprisingly for a place that is always busy, the service was some of best one can offer. Everyone receives their food no later than 15 minutes after ordering, eliminating the anticipation of getting that hunger satisfied.

The menu has all sorts of different varieties to choose from, and they always have a different special during breakfast time.

According to waitress Therese Dalla, one of the best specials they have is the ever popular “Momma Bear.” This comes with two eggs, bacon and a choice of a main course such as pancakes, crepes, french toast or biscuits and gravy.

These items are breakfast only, and only available for those early morning cravings.

All of this delicious food is offered from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday through Friday for a low price of $6.99.

A cheap but delicious item is the fruit flavored pancakes. They draw a lot of interest as well. With choices of different fruit toppings, the plate includes four pancakes topped with a delicious fruit and powdered sugar mixture, for a reasonable price.

The prices on most items range from 7-12 dollars, but the food is definitely worth it.

Gutierrez believes her restaurant can differ from other restaurants in regards to what her employees offer.

“We are very family oriented and we appreciate customer service and like to get to know people, we try to be on a first name basis with people” Gutierrez said.

The atmosphere of Briana’s Pancake Cafe rivals those of IHOP or Denny’s because of their small town location. When dining at the Cafe it is common to hear customers referred to by first names. Food brought with a smile for the most important meal of the day can improve anyones mood.

With the great food and service Briana’s Pancake Cafe offers, it definitely receives a four out of five star rating.
