Giving gifts can get expensive, especially when trying to go above and beyond. Although, a gift is never measured by its price; it’s the thought that counts. Here are some inexpensive ideas that friends and family will love:

Bath Bombs

Who doesn’t like an original Lush or homemade bath bomb exploding with essentials and flower petals? These fizzy balls of fun can be found at Lush stores at a starting price of $4.95, or you can make your own using inexpensive ingredients. Refer to the steps and ingredients below to guide one in making a bath bomb:

Ingredients:

  • Baking soda 8 ounces
  • Citric acid 4 ounces
  • Corn starch 4 ounces
  • Mineral salts 4 ounces
  • 1 teaspoon of water
  • 1 teaspoon essential oil
  • 1 ¼ teaspoon oil
  • 1-2 drops food coloring

Steps:

  1. Combine dry ingredients
  2. Add liquids
  3. Press together to mold a circle then let sit on a tray for 10-12 minutes
  4. Ready to use for bath time

Bean Boozled

This fun game pulls the whole family together. Take the dare with the spinner, then taste the jelly bean it lands on. This game can be found at Jewel, Target or any other convenient store for only $5.99.

Tie Blankets

Who doesn’t want to wrap themselves up in a cozy blanket? You can buy the fleece at your local Michaels, JoAnn Fabric and Hobby Lobby.

Supplies:

  • Two pieces of cloth (Size and colors of choice)
  • Scissors
  • Ruler (Optional)

Steps:

  1. Buy two pieces of cloth from 1.5 to 3 feet yards
  2. Lay the two pieces of cloth wrong sides together
  3. Next cut out slits, like a fringe about three inches deep around the fabric
  4. Tie the matching top and bottom slits together
  5. Finished.
