December 2: Winter treat that’ll please any peanut butter cravings

The holidays bring decorative lights, hot chocolate and big-festive Christmas trees, but what about the yummy foods? The classic Christmas ham is always a favorite, but for the people with a sweet tooth Nutter Butter cookie pops are the answer.

Ingredients:

  • Eight Nutter Butter cookies
  • Four decorative cake icings in the colors orange, black, red and green
  • One package of Wilton white candy melts
  • Peanut butter

Baking supplies:

  • One microwave safe bowl
  • Eight Wilton cookie sticks
  • Wax paper
  • One spoon
  • One butter knife

Procedure:

Step 1. Split the Nutter Butter cookies in half.

Step 2: Add peanut butter to both sides of the cookie.

Step 3: Place a cookie stick on the peanut butter.

Step 4: Place the halves together again and apply a light amount of pressure to make sure the stick is secure.

Step 5: Place in freezer for 10 minutes to help the peanut butter set.

Step 6. While the cookies are setting, pour the white candy melts into a microwave safe bowl.

Step 7: Heat the candies for 30 seconds and stir. Continue to heat the candies for 15 seconds and stir after each time, repeat until fully melted.

Step 8: After the candies are melted, remove the Nutter Butter cookies from the freezer.

Step 9: Dip each cookie into the melted candy.

Step 10: After fully coated, set the Nutter Butters on wax paper.

Step 11: Put the Nutter Butter cookies in the freezer for 20 minutes.

Step 12: Remove the Nutter Butter cookie pops from the freezer once they have set.

Step 13:   After the cookies are completely harden use black for the eyes, buttons and mouth, orange for the nose and red and green to add hats and other festive gear

Once finished, the Nutter Butter cookie pops should look like delectable-little snowmen. These yummy holiday treats are best enjoyed with a cup of hot chocolate by the fire on a cold night.
