“From high fashion to high school,” promises the new show, “Jane by Design.” While it’s still a fairly new show, it has gone very well so far.
Erica Dasher stars as Jane Quimby, a high school student who went to Donovan Decker, a fashion company, to apply for an internship. The people there mistook her for someone applying for a job as assistant to the fashion executive. After she gets the job, she leads a very intense double life, hiding her high-paying, high-stress job from her family and classmates.
The situation is very unrealistic, but it’s a good show overall. It’s very enjoyable to watch, and the storyline never gets boring. While it seems like something that would be watched mostly by teenage girls, others might like it. Jane’s best friend is a guy and not everything about the show is overly girly.
The summer premiere is June 5, which will pick up from the mid season finale. The show does have some sexual content and mild language, so parents should be advised.
