Kaneland is welcoming many new teachers this year, including Karin Marshall.

“I enjoy working with all faculty and students. It is very positive here,” Marshall said.

She is also looking forward to getting to know her position.

“I love the new positive changes with the new administration and really being able to get to know my position,” Marshall said.

Marshall teaches certain study halls for kids with troubling grades.

“I teach CAP, which is a study hall for kids with grades that are not looking too well. This study hall is also a credit recovery program for kids who went away on a trip or are trying to graduate early,” Marshall said.

After raising her kids, she decided that she wanted to become a teacher. She chose KHS because of her children being in the district.

When asked about her favorite hobbies she replied “I love to read, run, play any sports and cook for my family,” Marshall said.

Marshall is looking forward to a good year.
