The Kaneland Knights volleyball team has been off to a superior start according to coach Cynthia Violett. The Knights have kicked off their season well winning 14 of their first 20 games.

The Knights have had such success because of the way they practice and the way it translates into games according to senior Ellie Dunn. Coach Cynthia Violett has very high expectations for the rest of the season.

“We practice every day we don’t have a game, and we work on the fundamentals in practice to get better for upcoming games,” Violett said.

Violett said that she expects this success to continue and turn out well in the end.

“I believe we can win our conference and possibly make it downstate for a state series,” Violett said.

Violett is pleased with how the season has began for the Knights.

“I love the way we have started and we have to keep this consistency going in order to accomplish our goals,” Violett said.

Senior captain Ellie Dunn believes that this team is special because of their heart and determination.

“This team is driven with heart and determination because we know our potential,” Dunn said.
