Why was he selected:  Bohorquez was selected as the athlete of the month because of his extraordinary performance on the soccer field. As a captain of the soccer team, Bohorquez recently helped lead the team to a regional title. He scored eight goals this season.

How long have you been playing soccer for?

I have been playing soccer since I was 5 years old.

What is your favorite part about soccer?

You get to meet new people, and you make friends that will last a lifetime. I love how you get a lot more out of the game than just the game itself.

What were your goals for this season?

I wanted to go as far as we could, and I’m proud of how our season went overall.

Are you playing in college?

I am hoping to, but I am still deciding. I’m thinking about possibly going to Western Illinois.
