Miley Cyrus Album
There is no doubt that Miley Cyrus has strayed from her normal Hannah Montana background to show the world that she is all grown up. “Bangerz,” her new album is certainly no “Best of Both Worlds,” it is her coming of age album in which she is showing the new Miley.
Miley got a lot of criticism for her music video for Wrecking Ball and We Can’t Stop along with criticism for her world famous VMA performance.
On SNL Miley joked that she really “pissed off the guy who invented the foam finger.” Miley is not a “slut”; she said to Robin Thicke before the performance that they were about to make history, and thats exactly what they did.
In an interview Miley states “Lets get something straight. You guys dont understand my music video. So let me explain it to you. I kiss the sledgehammer to show that I secretly still love the pain. Im naked to show how liam destroyed me. I emotionally become “naked and stripped” meaning Im hurt on the inside. The wrecking ball symbolizes a destructive love, hence the song title. (The wrecking ball breaks the walls and i’m left laying in the remaining of it) so instead of calling me a “slut” or a “whore” realize i’m trying to tell a story of a love that went wrong and destroyed me emotionally.”
The first two songs from the album she released were “We Can’t Stop” and “Wrecking Ball.” While “We Can’t Stop” was more of a live in the moment party song that hit no. 1 on the charts, “Wrecking Ball” was a ballad about her long rocky relationship with Liam Hemsworth. This ballad spoke to so many people and was incredibly relatable.
The whole album was about Miley’s relationship with Liam it starts at the beginning of their relationship with “Adore You” and then ends with “Hands In The Air.” She spent so much time carefully putting together this album, it became very special to her.
Adore you is about about a love she has been waiting a while to find, it goes to a few party songs such as “We Can`t Stop” and her song with Britney Spears “SMS (Bangerz)” it then goes into “My Darlin`” another love song and thats when “Wrecking Ball” appears. The mood of the album changes into a story of love gone very wrong. A few more party songs such as “Love Money Party” are played. Toward the end of the album is all about her breakup with Liam such as “Someone Else” about how the love turned her into “Someone Else.” It ends with “Hands In The Air” feat. Ludacris a perfect party song to end the album with.
Bangerz is Mileys best album filled with upbeat party hits to slow heart-wrenching songs that came from her heart. She said in her TV special “Miley: The Movement” that she chose the order of her songs very carefully so you wouldn’t expect what was coming next.
There is a lot of amazing music to expect of Miley in the future, there is no telling what she has in store for us.
