Sophomore Haylie Murri is not only new to Kaneland; she’s also new to Illinois.  Murri moved to Illinois due to her dad’s job.

“For me it was difficult because I have trouble talking to new people,” Murri said.

Some of her hobbies are horseback riding, cross country, drawing, reading and writing.

“I’m in cross country, and all of the girls on the team are really nice and fun to hang out with,” Murri said.

Before Murri came to KHS she went to Timber Creek High school in Keller Texas.

Murri is inspired by Melany Boudwin, a woman in her thirties who lived in her old neighborhood. She has an issue with her heart, that sometimes misses beat which occasionally impairs the use of her arms and hands.

“My parents were friends with her parents so I became friends with her, ” Murri said.
