Faye Licari is starting her first year as a Spanish teacher at Kaneland High School. Licari described her experience with Kaneland so far as “friendly” and “awesome.”

Licari chose KHS for a variety of reasons such as “a bigger department [Spanish],” the regularly formatted schedule, and because she has heard many positive comments about the students and district.

Licari is looking forward to teaching Spanish Ⅰ and Ⅱ this school year and getting to know the Kaneland community.

She made the decision to become a teacher because of her interests in the educational process and a “realization” she eventually came upon.

She is co-sponsoring the Spanish club. But after school hours, Licari may be found in the boxing ring.

“I started boxing last November,” Licari said.
