The “Ghostbusters” saga reappears in theaters
July 26, 2016
After the paranormal events of the original film took place comes a new take on the saga. Only this time Ghostbusters is led by a dynamic female cast.
This reboot has caused some major controversy leading up to its release, most of which was centered around the gender of the characters.
Paul Feig, director of the reboot, is no stranger to comedy. Another addition to this film is more detailed special effects than the original, which is why this one is enjoyable. The all star cast includes the talents of Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, Kristen Wiig, and Kate McKinnon.
The film’s comedic relief is Chris Hemsworth who plays the Ghostbusters secretary. He played the secretary differently than Annie Potts did in the original. She was more dull and serious and he is more dumb and clueless, viewers will find pleasure in his character.
It was one of this summer’s most anticipated and talked about films. Despite its negative reception from skeptics and social media, Ghostbusters provides even more laughs and action packed sequences than the 1984 original.
