Meet one of Kaneland’s new science teachers
October 6, 2014
Although science teacher Thomas Meyer is new to Kaneland, he started teaching in 1983.
He teaches Biology, Physical Science and AP Physics.
Meyer’s inspiration for teaching science is that he loves science and hopes to get others to love it as well. He is looking forward to his first year of teaching Biology and AP Physics.
Meyer got his Bachelor’s Degree at University of Illinois and his Master’s Degree at North Central College.
Meyer previously worked in Elgin until teaching coach Lori Grant told him about the Kaneland job opening.
In his spare time, Meyer likes to do astronomy, bicycling and camping.
