History teacher, Wes Osmon, he is to be enjoying his first year of teaching here at Kaneland High School.

Osmon teaches US History and World History I. Osmon says that his inspiration to teach these subjects came from his history teacher in junior college, Dr. Owens.

Osmon graduated from the University of Illinois and is about to graduate from NIU.

Kaneland teachers are welcoming and friendly toward new teachers according to Osmon.

“I really like it. I’ve had a very enjoyable time here, the students and staff are welcoming and helpful,” Osmon said.

Many teachers have different hopes when looking forward to the new school year, but Osmon keeps things simple.

“I would like to learn more about myself, and watch the students learn along with me,” Osmon said.

Osmon had just recently had a baby girl, and he loves spending time with his family, reading, and exercising.
