Homecoming events offer HERO points for students.

The Kaneland Freshman, Sophomore, Junior and Seniors were introduced to a new system called Hero. Hero is a system to regulate tardiness and promote time management. Hero also rewards students who show class spirit and to students who participate in the Kaneland community.

Students can earn HERO points this homecoming week by hallway decorating, window painting, participating in spirit week, attending the powderpuff game, homecoming game and even just buying a homecoming ticket.

If you decide to participate in this week’s spirit week your first hour teacher will look at who is participating and mark down the points. Monday’s spirit day is “across the 50 states” Tuesday is “twin day” Wednesday is “Class t-shirt day” Thursday is “olympic spirit” and Friday is “Knight Pride!” The top three students in each class get $25 the top three students in the school get $100, $75 and $50. All points go to the class grand total.
