District 302 School Board welcomes Peter Lopatin to Kaneland Schools’ Board of Education. After a few hours of interviewing and observing all the applicants, strengths and reasons for wanting to be a board member, the Board of Education confirmed that Lopatin was the right candidate. He has previously offered his time as a board member for a community health clinic at a local library organization and at a PADS homeless shelter. Lopatin is involved in multiple community volunteer activities and also presently serves as a Kaneland Citizens Advisory Committee and Kaneland Arts Initiative member; he has clearly spent much of his time dealing with non-profit organizations. Mr. Lopatin was accepted on Sept. 9, 2013 and will take place of Mr. Oberweis on the Board of Education until April, 2015.
