Operation Snowball is a dedicated group seeking to prevent dangerous actions. This group will be going to Lorado Taft from Nov. 11-13.
“There are 150 people going to Lorado Taft. There are 8 people in a small group. We will be going activities in our small groups and as a big group. You basically form a family with them.” Senior, Megan Scott, an Operation Snowball teen director said.
Activities will include role playing and skits as well as activities designed to raise self-esteem, Senior Kyle Clausen and Scott Said.
“We are trying to get more students from Kaneland involved. There were only six students that went last year.” Clausen said.
Adult sponsors include Tim Baker, Melissa Byrne, and counsler Anna Lamica, who has been involved for 15 years.
It costs $150 and if you have any problems or concerns you can talk to Mrs. Lamica about them.
