Tissue boxes can no longer earn you an A
October 3, 2016
Teachers are no longer giving extra credit for students that bring in supplies for their teachers: for example tissue boxes.
Students can not bring in supplies for their teachers to try and boost up their grades.
“The administration wants students to focus on their academic performance rather than a behavioral aspect,” Rachel Giles said.
The administration and teachers want extra credit to be only academic in order to enrich students learning experience.
“In a roundabout way we don’t want students to pay for their grades,” principal Jill Maras said.
Teachers and administrators want their student’s work to be only based on their ability to have good grades without having to bring things in.
