This weekend, the Elburn Lions Club hosted the 97th annual Elburn Days festival, which kicked off with the Elburn Days parade. This year’s Grand Marshals were Roger and Suzie Woodruff. The parade featured a variety of participants, including horses, tractors, the Kaneland High School band, Kaneland sports teams, fire trucks and representatives from local businesses. The festival featured carnival rides, food and live music. The weekend also included the truck and tractor pull, adult mud volleyball, a dunk tank hosted by the Kaneland cheer team and different small business pop-ups. This weekend-long celebration has become a tradition that marks the beginning of the school year and offers an opportunity for each of the nine communities that feed into the Kaneland district to come together.
