Self-expression is the process of communicating who you are through your thoughts, feelings and desires. It is how we translate what’s inside of us into something tangible. For many of us, these forms become an outlet, where we feel comfortable to wear unique outfits, change the look of our hair, write music, create digital content and develop ourselves through creative hobbies. For young people especially, self-expression often evolves as they move through different stages of growth and self-discovery. Change is a natural and powerful part of this process. Every new interest, look or creative idea can reflect who you’re becoming. Understanding that you are in control of your own expression helps build confidence, and this is key for you becoming who you are meant to be.
